Paradise Un-Bakery

Healthy vegan eatery in the heart of Kensal Rise. Serving raw food, cooked dishes and an array of raw vegan cakes and treats.

Popped in on a Saturday afternoon for a Late Lunch.
The Palm tree, pastel decor and neutral furniture gave this cosy little cafe in Kensal Rise a welcoming feel.
The reggae soundtrack with some old favourites such as Bob Marley, Sizzla and Morgan Heritage added  a touch of ‘home’ to the atmosphere.

They have a one page menu but don’t be fooled choices are not limited.
The food sounded scrumptious the best way to sample multiple dishes is to bring along a friend.

Chosen dishes were
Raw Cacao & ‘shroom’ Latte
That’s right mushrooms and cacao blended with Coconut mylk
Hot Chocolate with coconut mylk
The coconut mylk added an extra twist the flavours stood out more than your Pret or Starbucks minus the weird powdered taste you get towards the bottom

Posh Mac No Cheese
Spelt Pasta, cheesy cashew, sweet potato sauce, vegan cheese and coconut bacon
It missed the characteristics of gooey melted cheese.
But this tasted pretty damn good and stood in its own lane
The bacon bbq coconut added an extra crunch and flavour and complimented it well.

Sweet Potato, aubergine, lentil moussaka, creamy cashew sauce
I found this to be quite filling however for me it needed an added sauce but it was palletable. The seasoned salad went with it well.

Full Paradise Breakfast
Sunseed Sausages, Ackee Scramble, Baked Beans, Roast Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Avocado and sourdough toast
Ackee for scrambled eggs was an amazing idea. Ackee is the national fruit of Jamaica, but it’s native to the tropical forests of West Africa although a fruit it is treated like a veg

Sausages were made from sunseed and other ingredients I can’t remember (soz)
The baked beans was presented in a lovely avo bowl

Witness the Fitness (smoothie)
Nut mylk, bananas, blueberries, peanut butter, oats chia, coconut sugar
The colour to this shake was a beautiful shade of purple and the taste wasn’t too bad either. This tastes like it would be a great pre/post workout boost.

Raw Banoffee Cake shaped into a heart (awww)
Chocolate pud which definitely featured dates.

Peppermint tea

Served in a cute pot with peppermint leaves

Prices are fair, food is filling all in all would definitely return already planning the next trip.

P.s Love the motivational quotes around the venue
