This won’t make me fat right?

Calorie apart from sounding like a portmanteau of Carol and Valerie what are they and what do they do?

The amount of energy in an item of food or drink is measured in calories. When we eat and drink more calories than we use up, our bodies store the excess as body fat. If this continues over time we may put on weight.

However what is the point of counting ‘energy’ in processed, overly sugary and salty food?
A Diet Cola is still COLA a manufactured product in a laboratory for your consumption.
But lets be honest what is this dark liquid?

What’s the flavour?
Where does it come from?
Why does it do this to a penny(see the penny experiment)

Brekky bars also known as sugar loaded treats sometimes boast that they have only 60 calories which may sound good on the outside but what are it’s effects on the inside.
Those are a few example of food impostors claiming to be of some kind of benefit without actually holding any merit.

There is no nutritional value in such things but one thing they both have in common are SUGAR and guess what happens to sugar when its in the body and not used…while this clean cola penny drops. I’ll go on to encourage you to eat more vegetables, fruits and nuts because they are guaranteed to include healthy sugars and fats when eaten in moderation.(it turns to fat if you still wondering)

So no need to calorie count and restrict yourselves especially after eating that bacon butty and demolishing the self imposed daily calorie allowance.

But by eating healthier you will be providing your body with the neccessary nutrients to keep you full and satisfied for longer while shedding excess fat!
