Ethiopian Cusine

Few months back I tried Ethiopian cuisine admittedly I wasn’t a fan as I’m not keen on trying new food that I haven’t prepared myself.

However I took a lunge and gave it a try I opted for the vegetarian option a selection of vegetables prepared differently ranging from sweet, sour and spicy vegetable served on this enormous plate with a Injera base.

Injera is like a pancake that doubles up as a plate and utensils and is made from Teff Flour.

Whats more is that I learnt Teff flour is jam packed with nutritional benefits

  • High in Calcium
  • Good for digestion
  • Low in Fat

If you would like to try Ethiopian cuisine I visited Mesi’s Kitchen in Holloway Road the service was great such a friendly, welcoming and accommodating place.
